Network marketing can help you achieve a good income and success. There is still some confusion as to just what network marketing is and how it benefits a business, but that can be easily cleared up. While generally associated with MLM businesses because the payouts tend to occur on several levels, network marketing is a generic term that addresses several areas of direct sales and MLM. In the interest of internet business, a person markets their product or service to others and signs on others to sell that product or service then both parties receive a commission. Network Marketing is not a Pyramid SchemeSome people confuse network marketing with a pyramid scheme. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Network marketing is a legitimate business, while pyramid schemes are illegal. Network marketing allows you to provide others with the opportunity to increase their wealth, achieve success and build their own business. This is a real opportunity to sell real products or services and make real money. On the other hand, pyramids are based on taking advantage of people and someone has to lose money in order for someone else to make money. While network marketing helps people expand and capitalize their own skills, talents and efforts, pyramids exploit people's skills and talents and leaves them with nothing. Why Internet Marketing Skills are Needed for Success If you are going to have an online business and you want it to be successful, you have to market it. In other words, you need to drive traffic to your site and get sign ups. Internet marketing skills are easy, but do require a certain amount of good sense. As you work your marketing plan, you will need to tweak and modify it as you learn what works and what doesn't. You will need to evaluate your own practices and even the marketing campaigns of other companies to get ideas. You will need to understand how internet marketing works to understand how it will work for you - and create your marketing plan accordingly. Some key skills - traffic & conversionTwo key skills in network marketing are in building traffic and in converting visitors to customers. You want to find viable and legitimate methods of driving traffic to your website and you want to make that traffic relevant so that once it arrives at your site the visitors are converted to customers. These skills are vital to your success in internet marketing. This is what will drive your site's success and increase your income from the site. There are other aspects to network marketing, but these are the key skills that you need to know and need to learn how to tweak and modify until you find a strategy that works for you.Brief explanation of a few skills
There are ways to drive traffic to your site. Even something as simple as putting a link to your site in your email signature can generate traffic. If you create a blog that has subject matter that is similar to your topic, you can use it as a way to increase interest in your site as well as draw relevant traffic to your site. When these people are drawn to your blog because of the content, they will want to know more and are very likely to go on to your website. Other ways to draw relevant traffic which will translate to conversions is to post to relevant forums and newsgroups as well as on social networks such as MySpace and Tagged.Master these for online successThe method that you use for your network marketing will be different with each product, service and customer type that you try to reach. Mastering just one type of network marketing is not going to be effective for long term marketing or for expansion. You can concentrate on one method of marketing at a time, but learn more than just one method. If you currently use social networking and forum posting as the primary method of marketing your site, try learning about blogging and article marketing as well. Niche marketing is another great way to promote your site. At some point, you will likely find it necessary to invest a little money in your promotional methods. Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Engine Marketing are two very popular marketing strategies that do require a little investment. Play it smart and learn as much about network marketing as you can and you will find success and increased wealth.

So What Makes YOU So Different?
When I first begin to work with a new client I ask them one simple question, so what makes you different from your competition? The usual response I get from 99.9% of business owners is: We provide better customer service or our product is better quality. This response is returned with such pride and they truly do not understand why they get minimal phone calls from their advertising. The next thing I do is grab a copy of the Yellow Pages and open it to the relevant section that their business is advertised under and show them, look every one else is saying the same thing. Gues what? Your website is no different. And most the ads in the Yellow Pages are name, rank and serial number style ads, you might as well just photo copy your business card and stick it in there. But the truth of the matter is that the business owner has absolutely no idea of how to differentiate themselves from their competition. Now better service or better quality are just fluff words in my opinion. They mean nothing, especially to a new prospective client, all they are concerned with is: What's in it for me? Or what deal can I get? This is where most advertising falls down. Even though when you look deep enough into a business they actually do in fact have real differences, the problem is they don't advertise it.So you see your USP, that stands for Unique Selling Proposition or similar words to that effect. This basically means what makes you stand out from the crowd.I'll give you an example to make this more clear: A driving school I worked with had their USP as; You Learn Stress FREE Or You Don't Pay, GUARANTEED! They surveyed their client base and found this to be the number one frustration their current students were experiencing, so they built a guarantee around it.What can you do in your business? Now that may seem a bit scary to some people at face value but once you investigate their stats, they came into the market place of 200 competitors in their local area.Once they started promoting this ad, they grew within 18 months to be the 2nd place behind the market leaders who had been established for 56 years. Why?
Because they offered a real difference, everyone else was saying the same thing: We offer the best service, but these guys backed it up with proof and said we are willing to put our money where our mouth is and if your not happy then we will refund your money. And the best part is, that out of 3000 students they taught over that period only 3 people asked for their money back, and they charged about $10 more per lesson than the other 198 Driving Schools they were competing against. So you can now see the power of differentiation when used effectively. Now the next question is: What are you doing in your business that makes you different from everyone else? Once you work that out, advertise it everywhere.

Effective Training Techniques Through Involvement
Distributor involvement is the key to effective downline training. Distributors attending training are preoccupied with their own thoughts and problems. Some are willing to learn and some are not. There are those who are open to new ideas and others who resist. How can you get them involved so that they can take ownership of their own learning during the training?1. Put Yourself In The Learners' ShoesWhen delivering training, there is course content to be covered. While this is important, priority has to be given to the fact that the learners are able to receive your content. What better way than to put yourself into the learners' shoes and ask yourself a few questions that these learners have when attending training:- What is this session about?- Will it be of use to me?- How can I apply this to the real world?- What motivates me to attend this session?- Is the content delivered in an easy and simple way?- Are different teaching methods involved or is it a boring lecture?Answering these questions to yourself will help you better prepare to deliver effective training.2. Assessing Learner NeedsChecking out on learner needs is essential to get learner involvement. This task could be difficult due to time or information constraints. However, it is important and some kind of assessment will make a difference. Some points for investigating learner needs are as follows:- How many participants will be attending the session?- How long have they been involved?- What are their skill levels as applicable to the training subject?- How will the training affect their current or future income generating prospects?
If this investigation is not possible before the training session, then when the session starts, it is a good idea to request the participants to introduce themselves and to mention what they would like to achieve from the training session.3. Communicate With Your LearnersCommunicating the objectives and program outline to the course attendees before the session will help them prepare for the training. Properly written, this communication can also be used to motivate the learners such that they will have a positive outlook towards the training. If this is not done for some reason, then it is important that this be done at the start of the training.Communication is two ways. Therefore, feedback from the learners must be somehow incorporated into the training. This is extra work. It will be much easier to just deliver the content as is, but the purpose of the training is to enable the learner via effective training, not just delivering content.4. Switch On The LearnersHowever well you may be prepared to deliver the session, if the learners are not switched on, the training will not be very effective. Switched on learners will be ready to receive content, which means there is a need to conduct activities to achieve this.Switching on activities include creative opening exercises that develop positive first impressions, which are crucial to gaining learner commitment. These warm up activities are learner-centered and content-relevant. The intent is to get learner involvement and for the trainer to develop relationships with the learners. These are not the same as icebreakers, which are usually used to entertain and energize learners. When people arrive for the training, they are probably still preoccupied with their own problems and thoughts. The warm up exercises will also be a means of addressing this.Training can be made effective with some extra effort in getting involvement and hence ownership for the training. You will find that the extra work pays off because you will find the session much more satisfying and feedback from the attendees will be positive.

How to Use the "Nest Egg" Approach To Skyrocket Your Network Marketing Prospect Base
As a professional network marketer, you are well aware of various ways to approach prospects about your home business. However, did you know many networkers are using now using a very unique, low-key, and non-threatening approach? You could call this the "Nest Egg" approach. What's the actual "Nest Egg"? Why retirement! As it turns out, this technique is very motivating. Here's how it works.First of all, you loan your prospect a copy of the book, "How To Get Rich Without Winning the Lottery." These books are very inexpensive and run less than $1.50 per copy. So, you can afford to get plenty! What this book does is explain how anyone can accumulate wealth using any of the strategies listed. Some of the strategies include:-Spending less than you earn and investing the difference-Earning more money by having a part-time job and investing the difference-Starting a part-time business and investing profits-Collect a network marketing check for what you already doing, and investing your profitsCan you see how effective this approach can be? Most people will immediately identify with one of these approaches and get excited about it! This is because they realize their "nest egg" can be built more quickly this way. Retirement could come much sooner rather than later! What you do is to just loan the book for three days and then go pick it up.When you go pick it up, don't be surprised if your prospect wants to add it to his/her personal collection. This is the ideal time for you to ask if they would be interested in doubling or tripling the amount they save. Nine times out of ten, their response will be an affirmative "yes"! Now, you can tell your prospect about your network marketing opportunity. They will be happy to listen to what you have to say because of the awesome information you shared with them by loaning them the book. What really sells them on the idea is that they will be able to take the money from their network marketing business and add it to their "nest egg". They will begin to view your home business opportunity as a vehicle that will assist them in reaching their retirement goals a lot faster. What also nice about this approach that you will end up with distributors who are stable and will most likely be with you for the long term. So, take the step and begin to use the "Nest Egg" approach in your network marketing business today!

Guaranteed Sign Ups For Your MLM Downline - The Fastest Way!
One of the fastest ways to build your MLM downline is to use a guaranteed sign up service froma reputable company. However, since most MLM programs are pay to join programs, a guaranteed sign up program will only work in two stages. Firstly, you pay for sign ups for a free to join program or newsletter which you then use to pre-sell your prospects on the idea of joining your downline. Some of the most successful multi-level marketers use guaranteed sign ups to build their business very successfully. However, there are good guaranteed sign-up programs and those that promise the world and disappoint. Still, there are good sign-up programs available with prospects willingly signing up to your program as a result of responding to one of their many advertisements targeting people who want to work from home. One company actually distributes 2.5 million advertisements across the internet on a daily basis. If someone clicks on one of their advertisements they are taken to a page with twenty links to business opportunities. If someone clicks on one of these links they will be taken through to a member site which has purchased guaranteed traffic through a reseller. The progress of the visitor is tracked through this site. These sign-ups are as a result of genuine interest which makes them highly valuable to you. Not all sign-up programs are as beneficial. Some companies pay people to sign up to your program or give them points or other cumulative benefits. These people are not genuinely interested in the opportunity you are offering and you will be unlikely to convert your sign ups to downline memberships. In other words, you can waste a lot of money if your sign-ups are not genuinely motivated to work for themselves, particularly in a MLM business. Look for a program where all leads are highly qualified. The key to successfully using guaranteed sign ups is to have a plan. Make sure you only purchase sign ups from genuinely motivated people. However, make sure you have a well thought out plan first. The money you spend on guaranteed sign ups will only be well spent if you are able to convert prospects to members. To do this you must invest time and effort in communicating with these people in such a way that they want to pursue the connection with you further. A good guaranteed sign up provider can provide quality sign ups but only you can convert them to paid members.

Four Tips To Get New MLM Distributors Set Up Right
As a leader in your MLM organization, you know that your work is only beginning when a prospect joins and becomes a new distributor on your team. One of your tasks is to assist him or her in getting set up right. Now, since we all know it is impossible to sell anything from a cart that is empty, we want to make sure our new team member do not start off handicapped! Here are four tips to help your new MLM distributors launch and build their teams, based on the four different areas of the business.1. Personal Use: The quickest way to learn the business as well as be sold on it is for new distributors to actually use the company's products. If the person doesn't make an effort to use any products and does not believe in them, should you have even sponsored him or her in the first place? So, make sure your new folks are not only sold on at least 2-3 products, but also actually use them.2. Retail Sales: It will be hard for a new distributor to make any sales if he or she has zero products to retail. Don't you think it will look bad when your new recruit approaches a customer to make a sale, and doesn't even have any product on hand? Therefore, it is important to remind your new MLM distributors to be supplied with some products when he or she starts their new home business.3. Samples: Most companies have products that can be given as samples to potential customers. As a true leader, it is important that you lead your new team members by example. So, show them how to give away the free product samples to customers.4. New Distributor Start-Up: This is similar to number three. When you start a new distributor in your MLM business, if he or she is a local person, the individual will need products as soon as he or she joins. If you plan on starting more than one person at a time, you need to have enough supply on hand to give to each of them. This is necessary because your new team members needs something to carry them until their first product shipment comes in. This approach also helps motivate your new distributor to keep their new home business in the forefront, to focus on getting the word out, and to start building their own teams. This step is crucial to getting your new team members started off right. In summary, as a team leader, you want to do all you can to assist new distributors in starting their MLM home business right. They need to earn money by moving products, and, in return, to become even more motivated to be successful when sales are made. So, follow these tips and your new team members will be so thankful

MLM Training - What to Say When You Get an Answering Machine - Scripts Included!
One of the most damaging things you can do to your MLM success is call a good prospect and leave a bad phone message. Why? Well, you may have just blown your chance at continuing a relationship with a very qualified MLM business prospect! Continue reading to learn what to say and other valuable phone message tips. You're ready to call your prospect and ask him to check out your MLM business by: watching a video, listening to a conference call or attending a meeting only to discover that you get his answering machine. What do you do? No, you don't freak out; you leave a message that conveys such confidence that your prospect will want to call you back the minute he hears it! At the sound of the tone, leave your message, beeeeep. Uh, uh _ _ _ hi _ _ uh I was just calling um _ _ I'll just try later. That only happens when you're not prepared. So you might as well get the proper MLM training and learn it now. Then, practice it so you're never surprised by an answering machine. What you're going to read here I recommend that you rehearse several times and then call your own answering machine and leave yourself a message and listen to it. Listen to how you sound; you may be surprised. Make corrections and do it again. Continue practicing until you can leave a confident message that sounds really good. Generally, for a warm market person (someone you know), you can vaguely state the reason why you are calling and leave it at that. He's your friend and should call you back. How ever you normally talk I suggest you keep it that way. Don't suddenly sound like a different person.
Here are some examples:Hi John, this is Tim, how are you. I'm calling to talk a little business with you....Hi John, Tim here, give me call. I've got something I want to run past you....Hi John, Tim here, ...haven't talked in a while. I'd like to catch up on what you've been up to and run something by youHi John, this is Tim. Hey man, something's come across my desk that you may find Hi John, this is Tim Sales, we've not talked in a VERY long time. Give me a call when you can, I want to hear about what you've been up to....And if you're normally goofy on the phone, by all means be goofy: Hey John, did you see the Gators beat up on the Bulldawgs? I'm calling to rub it in a little (laugh) not really, I want to talk a little business with you....Of course, with a cold market prospect (someone you don't know), you want to be smart with how you handle the call; give yourself the authority in the situation, in a non-assertive way of course. Hi I'm calling for John Smith. John, you filled out a questionnaire indicating that you have an interest in a business you can work from home. I'm calling in regards to that. I'd like to get to know you a little bit and find out what you had in mind to see if it's a fit with what I have. Let me give you my number....I don't have a lot of examples on this one because this is always the message I leave. The only thing that varies is how I got his number. I don't recommend you leave long-winded messages nor very short messages: This is Tim, call me back. All of those examples are the first part of the message. The last part of the message should ALWAYS be the same. Let me repeat that, the last part of the message should always be the same! Here's the last part: let me give you my number, 888.888.8888. I'll give that to you again, 888.888.8888. Look forward to talking with you.Never assume he has your number. Never assume he heard your number the first time.
Always assume your phone (or his) has a bad connections and the entire message didn't go through. Many times people leave me messages and they rattle their number so fast (because they know it very well) that I have to rewind the recording several times to hear it. Do not leave anything of value after you give your number. The prospect may hang up after hearing you say, I'll give that to you again. So if after the number you leave something like, I'm available after 7 which is very important information, your prospect may not get that because they hung up before it played. These phone message tips have helped me strengthen communication with MLM business prospects because I have found them to be much more willing to call me back and to talk to me. Learn and master these scripts and always be prepared to leave a message!

MLM Training - How To Confirm Appointments With Your MLM Prospects - Hot Prospecting Tip #4
So you've taken all the necessary steps to find out what a prospect wants/needs or doesn't want in life. You know your MLM business or product can help them get what they want, so you invite them to do something, see something or hear something that will give them more information about your MLM business.Sometimes what you invite them to do requires YOUR PROSPECT to be at a specific location at a specific time for some event - whether by phone (conference call) or a physical location (hotel meeting room). And, sometimes YOU need to be at a specific location at a specific time to meet the prospect. For this prospect to get what they want they first need to hear or see this event, therefore you want to ensure it hasn't slipped their mind or that you've not forgotten some important detail. Also, for your planning purposes it would be nice for you to know whether they're going to be at the event at the appointed time. So you call to confirm the appointment. When do you do that and what do you say? Read on:The word confirm means: make something definite; to make certain that a tentative arrangement or one made earlier is firm.Again, the reasons you confirm an appointment are: 1. To ensure your prospect gets what they need/want. 2. To ensure that the event didn't slip the prospect's mind. 3. So you are certain they know all the details about where to be and at what time. This could include dress code, specific meeting location, fees that might be associated, etc. 4. So that you can plan and have a correct estimation of products and supplies with you. Confirming the appointment will help you accomplish each of the four items.Personally, I like to confirm the appointment the night before. I primarily like this time as it gives the prospect enough time to plan or reschedule accordingly.
The best time to call them to confirm is really dependent on when you know you can reach them. Whether that's at 4:40 pm before they leave the office for the day, or at 8:30 pm just depends on when you know you can reach them. If you have an appointment in the morning, then it's best to call the day before near the end of the day(around 4-5 pm). If you have an evening appointment, I suggest you call the evening of the night before. When you reach your prospect, I DON'T recommend you say, Are you going to be there?? Instead, I like to give some small extra detail in my confirmation call. My two favorite points of reminder are dress code and location. You should give the exact location you are going to meet like, At the front door at...And dress code is an easy one, let them know what you will be wearing. You can say something like, By the way I'm coming from a meeting, so I'm going to be in dressy/casual clothes.I don't suggest you say something that insults your prospect's ability to remember. So don't say, I just wanted to remind you in case you forgot.Following these simple suggestions will help you achieve MLM success in two ways. First, you'll come across as a real professional to your prospect and secondly, you set yourself up to maximize the number of prospects who will attend an MLM business meeting or listen in on a conference call.

MLM Training - Beat Your Competition With This MLM Prospecting Tip
You make yourself distinguished in network marketing(and any business for that matter) by knowing your prospects. This also shows that you are "interested in them".I have found that prospects are most willing to give out the majority of their information, such as cell phone number, hours they work, the pattern of their week, personal likes/dislikes, their family, etc., in the first two times you talk to them. This information is what you use to build a relationship with them. But you have to earn the right to ask for this additional information. Continuing with the Hot Prospecting Tip Series, Tip #5 is: Early in the prospecting cycle, get as much information as you can. It may be more difficult to get the information later on. Why? Because early on it's just the two of you talking and getting to know one another - no other person has interfered and said anything negative about your MLM business or you. Very often, as time progresses other people make comments that can cause your prospect to hesitate. Here is the type of information you want on the first or second call:*Phone number (home and cell) *Email address *Hours that they are at work *Hours they are at home *When is their private time that you do not call? *What is the pattern of their day, week, etc.? *Children's name(s) *What spouse does professionally *Hobbies and interests
You can also ask for more personal information. If you find out that person's hobby is golf, write down: Bob likes golf. If in the conversation you hear a baby crying in the background, ask something like, "How old is your child? Boy or girl? Oh, what is her name?" You should not sound like you're interrogating but like you're truly interested. There's a difference. Each prospect is different; listen carefully and know when you are pushing too hard. If you're someone who follows my training, this may sound a lot like Communication Quality #4 in Professional Inviter: Use the right amount of assertiveness. You are being too aggressive with prospects if you outright say, "What's your cell phone number?" Your prospect will feel uncomfortable and probably will not give their information if you approach them this way. But let's suppose you went through a good greeting and qualifying and you find out what your prospect wants--so you invite them to a meeting, or to watch a video about your MLM business. Here is an example of earning your right to ask for more information: You say, "There's a video you need to see that can solve this. It explains a lot about what you want." Give information about how they can watch the video. Then say, "When would be a good time for us to talk after you've looked at it?" That prospect says, "Tomorrow at 3:00 pm." And you say, "Then I'll call you tomorrow at 3:00 pm. What is the best number to reach you?" Very often they will give you their cell phone number as an alternative number. You wouldn't be too assertive if you asked for additional information like this. When you're going to meet with them you could also say, "Let me give you my cell number just in case we can't find each other." Give your number then ask, "Do you have a cell number?" During your first greeting you can (and I recommend it) ask things like, "What's your typical day like?" Or, "Do you have any days off during the week?" The bottom line is to find out about THEM, what THEY like to do and then use that information to build a common ground. This is what it means to be "interested" and not "interesting". Once you have this information it will be much easier to determine if the person qualifies for your MLM business.Building good relationships isn't hard, we've been doing it all our lives. Just learn to approach your prospect as you would anyone else you want to build a personal relationship with and this too will become second nature.

Then say, "When would be a good time for us to talk after you've looked at it?" That prospect says, "Tomorrow at 3:00 pm." How To Convert The Visitors Of The Home Internet Business Ideas Website Into Repeating Buyers
According to several researches about the internet home business ideas marketing, each prospect must be contacted at least 7 times before the first purchase will happen. This research result sets the optin email list marketing in an extremely important role. The job is not only to get huge amount of contacts but to get the optin email addresses and to upgrade the contacts little by little into the customer trust.1.The Basic Requirement Is The Copywriting Skills.A successful copy of the email looks at the business with the eyes of the website visitor. The copystyle has to be persuasive and has to offer useful information about the offer.A writer has to avoid overpromises or missleading expressions because if a reader will dissapoint, it will harm the business.Every single sent message has to include a clear consumer benefit, a promise about something a receiver wants. The links are not in the main roles.2.Build A Lot Of Contacts. The internet marketing is a numbers game and it`s engine is the huge number of contacts. Because the internet is run by the information and the surfers search information with keywords, the keywords are the hooks by which a marketer fishes prospects all over the internet.
The keyword research is important because keywords are used in most of the promotions: PPC, article marketing, forum posts, websites, classified ads and blogs. The first contact will build the first impression. This is The Moment Of Truth. When a reader clicks the link, the landing page has about two seconds time to make the clicker to do something or he is gone maybe forever. This is the moment of the direct call to action. What does a marketer need for the future relationship building: the optin email list marketing addresses of course. The task of the first impression is to give value through content and personal service, not to try to sell anything. Why would the internet home business ideas website prospect give the email address. Of course because he will get a reward: free marketing course, ebook or something else, which helps him to start the business.3.Upgrade Contacts Into Relationships. The internet home business ideas marketing is all about relationships. Now it is up to the marketer, what kind of the relationships he will build up. After a prospect has signed up for an optin email list, the thank you page has to be sent in about two seconds and after that the first email right away. The most important idea in internet home business ideas email marketing is a useful content, not selling. The receiver will click the links only if he sees the content valuable to his needs.4.Upgrade Relationships Into Positive Image. An internet home business ideas marketer will succeed only if he can personalize all his communications. This a marketer can do by the multistep optin email list marketing campaigns, which will build the image little by little during the time of approximately 1,5 years. The receiver will become so thankful about all the free and useful information that after 7 optin emails he starts to buy.5.Upgrade The Positive Image Into The Customer Trust. The trust is a cornerstone of all working human relationships. It is a strong feeling, which requires a very sensitive and ongoing care. The incredients of the customer trust are the reliability, honest co-operation and the quick and personal service. The customers must meet the shopkeeper by himself in the shop and learn to know him. This simply will build up the mutual trust.
